Barton Community College to Host RYLA Camp Friday through Sunday

Barton Community College will host the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp Friday through Sunday at Camp Aldrich. RYLA is a worldwide program that provides future leaders the opportunity to expand and hone their leadership skills.The program enables young people to debate issues of professional responsibility and human relations, improve leadership and communication skills, and meet Rotarians while having fun and making friends.

Barton Sets New Enrollment Record, Trends Up for Fourth Straight Year

Barton Community College’s enrollment figures show an overall 5.2 percent increase from summer 2010 to spring 2011. That increase comes off the heels of 10 percent enrollment growth the preceding year. This year’s total credit-hour output set a new enrollment record with 107,158 credit hours compared to last year’s previous record of 101,877 credit hours. The new record also signifies that Barton continues its upward trend in credit-hour production for the fourth straight year.
