Fifth Annual Sporting Clay Shoot Was Another Successful Event

For the fifth year, we once again partnered with LaSada Sporting Clays and Hunting Service, a shooting facility located near Russell, to host the Barton Foundation Sporting Clay Shoot.  The event proceeds are used to enhance the student's learning experience through designated programs such as mini-grants for Barton faculty.  With the help of local sponsors and donors, this annual event (held the third Sunday of April) has become the largest shoot in the state of Kansas.  We have accomplished the initial goal of gaining new friends for the Foundation and have been given the opportunity to share news about Barton Community College.  Next year's shoot will be April 21, 2013.

We want to recognize and thank the following sponsors:

Major Sponsors:  Butterfly Supply, Inc. and Smith Supply, LLC

12 Gauge Shot Gun Level:  CPI Qualified Plan Consultants; Eldridge Fencing; Farmers Bank & Trust, NA; Innovative Livestock Services; LaSada Sporing Clays & Hunting Service; M & M Equipment; Mossberg Sanitation

20 Gauge Shot Gun Level:  American State Bank; Benefit Management, Inc.; Dakota Dirt; Great Bend Farm Equipment; Great Bend Tribune; Hammeke Electric; Montana Mike's Steakhouse

We also had three .410 Shot Gun Level Sponsors and 33 Station Sponsors, as well as many other generous donors who gave cash and gift-in-kind donations.
